Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0798; 01:40PM; 2063 S Oxford Av; https://bit.ly/3OxBCok; Harvard Heights; KNOCKDOWN: 60 firefighters extinguished the fire in 49 mins with no injuries reported. Crews had to locate and access fire within walls of one portion of the large church building and chase it through to ensure there were no pockets of fire remaining. The primary and secondary searches are clear with no one located inside. The cause is under investigation. Interior fire attack located fire in the walls in a corner of the building. There appears to be a basement or crawlspace with fire and crews are working to make access. No injuries reported. Discovered deceased within the premises was an elder adult male. No other injuries reported. The Mayor's Crisis Response Team has been summoned to provide emotional support and assistance to the decedent's family and neighbors. The cause of the fire remains under active investigation.
