Rubbish Fire; INC#1097; 02:58PM; 1057 E Chavez Av; https://bit.ly/44opfBb; Boyle Heights; Initially dispatched as a single engine response to a rubbish fire, additional resources were requested to handle a large outside fire at a junkyard involving two mobile homes and exposing other vehicles. The incident is creating a large plume of smoke which may be seen from the surrounding area. There are no structures involved and the exposure is limited within the yard. Fire was located in an electrical room and immediately extinguished. Firefighters are actively ventilating the location. Fire companies were ordered off of the structure’s roof when it reportedly began sagging under the fire load — interior-only attack proceeded successfully with knockdown declared in 30 total minutes. Search efforts found no occupants, no injuries reported.
