KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1410; 07:59PM; 3387 S Livonia Av; https://bit.ly/43r7cwd; Palms; KNOCKDOWN: Outbuilding (est 50' x 100') was well involved in fire and crews conducted a defensive operation against the structure. The fire extended into the brush adjacent to the freeway, creating smokey conditions requiring the shutdown of the Eastbound traffic on 10 FWY. The building housed an auto business and the explosion earlier is believed to be connected to the vehicles (possibly magnesium components) A total of 84 LAFD firefighters and at least two engines from Culver City FD extinguished the fire in 43 minutes with no injuries reported. LADPW notified for arcing / downed wires. Update Structure Fire; INC#1410; 07:41PM; 3387 S Livonia Av; https://bit.ly/43r7cwd; Palms; While firefighters continue in the offensive mode against the out building (about 20' x 50') and the vegetation along the freeway, an explosion occurred near the building (source unknown at this time) and there are downed power lines. There are no injuries reported and crews continue with fire attack. Culver City Fire Dept is also sending a full structure fire response. Traffic on the 10 Freeway will be impacted by both smoke and emergency operations. Minimum of "slow lane" closed on Eastbound traffic. Tree Rescue 06/01/2025 INC#0949

Tree Rescue; INC#0949; 02:13PM; 2325 N Mt Olympus Dr; https://bit.ly/45y5cn5; Hollywood Hills West; Originally called in as a non-specific Engine response, firefighters located an approximately 30yo male patient stuck in a tree canopy, about 20' above ground, in medical distress. The incident was upgraded and LAFD Urban Search and Rescue trained firefighters conducted a rescue operation, safely extricating the patient from the trees using a rope system and the aerial ladder. The patient was transported in serious condition. All vehicles were empty, no packages on board. Eight were a total loss and two were damaged. There are no injuries reported and no structures damaged. The fire was held to approximately 2 acres.
