With improved mapping, the fire's footprint is estimated at 15 to 17 acres. Crews have worked hard on mop-up over the past two days, and it shows. Today's drone flights found no hot spots within the fire's interior. [UPDATE 09/11/26 Getty IC - 40% Containment] Brush Fire; INC#1500; 11:55AM; Nb 405 Fy; https://bit.ly/4xhwuIT; Bel-Air; Getty IC reporting 40% Containment on the Getty Fire, as LAFD firefighters continue to monitor the area following the recent brush fire. Last night was uneventful, with no flare-ups reported. This is good news, and we are thankful the fire area remained quiet overnight. Over the past two days, LAFD drone teams have continued aerial reconnaissance and mapping of the burn area. The drones have provided valuable information, particularly in areas of steep and difficult-to-access terrain, helping crews identify and monitor potential hot spots from above.
