Knockdown - #RockyFire Brush Fire; INC#0842; 01:53PM; 11500 N Topanga Canyon Bl; https://bit.ly/43FcXmE; #Chatsworth; With swift and effective Automatic Aid from Los Angeles County and Ventura County Firefighters in a region considered a Mutual Threat Zone at the three agency border, LAFD responders have now fully extinguished a two acre wildfire involving light-to-medium brush in the rocky terrain of Stoney Point Park in the City of Los Angeles, southeast of the intersection of the Ronald Reagan (SR118) Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard. No injury, No structure damage. No evacuation. Fire cause under investigation. #LATraffic: Closure of all lanes of Topanga Canyon Boulevard between Santa Susana Pass Road and the 118 Freeway will continue until LAFD operations are complete and the roadway has been determined safe for public travel. Update #RockyFire Brush Fire; INC#0842; 01:30PM; 11500 N Topanga Canyon Bl; https://bit.ly/43FcXmE; #Chatsworth; LAFD ground and air resources have largely contained and will handle an approximately two acre slow moving wildfire involving light-to-medium brush in rugged City of Los Angeles terrain southeast of the intersection of the Ronald Reagan (SR118) Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard. Allied agency responders are being released. Though there is a now a light (5-8 mph) wind from the north. no structures are threatened, there is no current threat to the nearby freeway or Metrolink rail line, and no evacuations are required. #LATraffic: Closure of all lanes of Topanga Canyon Boulevard between Santa Susana Pass Road and the 118 Freeway until LAFD operations are complete. Unknown ETO. Travelers, avoid the area and consider an alternate route. Detours are available. Structure Fire - NOW OUT; INC#0267; 05:51AM; 7639 N Faust Av; https://bit.ly/3AakocR; West Hills; At 5:19AM, the LAFD responded to find a one-story, single family dwelling with light smoke showing from the attic vents. The residence is a care facility with six patients. Firefighters confirmed the interior of the home was clear of smoke and fully extinguished all hot spots in the attic in 32 minutes. All six patients were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening medical complaints. Firefighters fought fire in all three buildings and achieved a knockdown in 46 mins (2:23AM) with no injuries reported. Of the two exposed buildings, one sustained fire damage in the attic and the other on the 2nd floor.
