Structure Fire - Fire Out; INC#1494; 07:33PM; 21340 W Devonshire St; https://bit.ly/437r1Zy; Chatsworth; LAFD received reports of smoke emanating from a guest room at The Holiday Inn. Arriving units made entry into the hotel room to find a well involved fire confined to the guest room couch, which activated fire sprinklers. Sprinkler activation held the fire in check to the room of origin. A 40 y/o female was located down in the room next the smoldering piece of furniture. Firefighters quickly extricated the patient to an awaiting rescue ambulance, who transported the victim suffering from smoke inhalation. No additional civilian injuries or hotel property damage was reported. Cause of fire is under investigation. LAPD Inc #3613. LAFD, LAPD and Union Pacific representatives are on scene coordinating patient extrication, accident investigation and on going rail operations. All rail tracks in the immediate vicinity will remain shut down for an unknow duration. There are no other reported injuries to railway staff or city personnel. As a result of the collision, 10 gallons of diesel fuel has flowed onto the street. LAFD has contained the leak and is requesting additional clean up assistance from co-operating LA City agencies. DOT is on scene directing traffic on Culver Blvd, which is closed in both directions from Braddock to mid-block at Culver Blvd for an unknown duration. No injuries to LAFD personnel or civilians reported.
