Firefighters thoroughly investigated the two adjoining businesses and determined there is residual smoke only. Master streams enabled firefighters to fight the fire from outside the structures, keeping all members safe as partial roof collapse began approximately 30 minutes into the incident. Confined Space Rescue - Now Static; INC#1670; 10:42PM; 1821 N Sichel St; https://bit.ly/49DDMOD; Lincoln Heights; LAFD USAR teams lowered wristlets into the shaft and were able to direct the patient to place them on his wrists. Patient was then lifted and fully extricated from the shaft by rope. Paramedics are transporting the 27M in critical condition to a local trauma center with LAPD escort.
