Firefighters Battle Blaze In Three Story Commercial Building in Downtown L.A.
Scores of Los Angeles Fire Department Firefighters continue to extinguish the smoldering remnants of a Major Emergency Structure Fire at 329 East 4th Street late Tuesday night.
The blaze, reported at 1:06 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, brought more than 150 LAFD personnel to battle heavy flames within a three-story commercial building.
Though the bulk of the fire was subdued in a few hours, firefighting operations are expected to continue through Wednesday morning in the heavily damaged structure. Firefighters completed the task and the last remaining crews cleared the scene approximately 17 hours after the start of the blaze. No injuries have been reported. The fire's cause is under active investigation.
