Though the intense flames threatened structures on three sides, firefighters prevented all but minor damage to one of the structures. No injury. The man is not desirous of hospital transport. No other injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains the focus of an active LAFD investigation. His 95 year-old female neighbor has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in fair condition, following exposure to smoke from the fire. No other injuries reported. The fire cause remains under investigation.
