LAFD arrived by air, land, and sea to find someone deceased at the bottom. Crews will provide assistance to law enforcement and the Medical Examiner in recovering the body. No additional patients. No details regarding the circumstances surrounding the death. Crews deployed hose lines into the structure and found a well-developed attic fire. It took 30 firefighters 25 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. Firefighters arrived to find no pedestrian involved, but one vehicle was struck by a train (with 5 passengers in the vehicle and several dozen passengers on the train). Crews are performing medical assessments on the five vehicle occupants, all with only minor injuries (and none currently requesting hospital transport).
