The contents of both cars are ordinary combustibles, identified as automotive parts, such as seating components. No injury. No structures threatened. No off-site hazard identified. No injury. The involved residence, built in 1909, was heavily damaged and suffered partial structural collapse from the fire, leading to the extended effort still underway to fully extinguish concealed smoldering debris. Crews used defensive firefighting tactics (from the exterior only) and set up ladder pipes and other heavy streams to attack the fire. The first 30 firefighters extinguished the flames in just 19 minutes. Crews will remain on scene for an extended period of time to chase down hidden hot spots and overhaul the building. No reported injuries. Crews made entry with hose lines and discovered heavy fire in the attic. Firefighters ventilated (cut holes in) the roof to allow the heavy smoke to escape, while firefighters below made access through the ceiling to extinguish the flames in 19 minutes. No reported injuries.
