Update #GettyFire - Evacuation Update Brush Fire; INC#0074; 05:30PM; SB 405 Fwy x Getty Center Dr; https://www.lafd.org/news/getty-fire; Los Angeles; As of 5:00 PM PDT tonight, the entire Mountaingate community has transitioned from Mandatory Evacuation (RED) to Evacuation Preparedness (YELLOW) status. Residents of Mountaingate should travel slowly and carefully through the area, and be prepared to offer photo identification for neighborhood re-entry. ALL OTHER AREAS that were earlier today in the Mandatory Evacuation (RED) area remain under Mandatory Evacuation, and are off-limits tonight, with NO public entry being permitted overnight as Police Officers continue to protect those neighborhoods. Hazardous Materials Investigation; INC#0742; 10:59AM; 11111 Alemany Dr; http://bit.ly/2MSOpCp; Mission Hills; PRELIM: 55 gallon tank bolted to the floor within the math/chemistry building at Bishop Alemany High School, and believed to contain various waste chemicals, has leaked approximately 2 quarts of liquid and is producing a noxious odor that has sickened several persons (students, staff and/or faculty) who are complaining of a burning sensation to eyes, nausea and dizziness. Of the 980 students and 60-100 staff, only one adult female staff member is desirous of hospital transport. The mandatory evacuation zone remains the same with the West border at Temescal Canyon, south to Sunset/PCH, east to the 405FY and north to Mulholland. Over 10,000 structures (both residential and commercial) are within the affected evacuation zone. A fourth evacuation center is now open - Palisades Recreation Center (851 Alma Real Dr). Hanson Dam is also now open to receive large animals.
