It took 30 firefighters just 10 minutes to put out the fire, starting with a defensive strategy (from the exterior), and knocking back the flames enough to enter and extinguish the remainder. This was the site of a previous burn. Firefighters skillfully protected all adjacent structures. No reported injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0715; 02:55PM; 9851 W Lanark St; https://bit.ly/3fHBtuP; Shadow Hills; The incident was quickly escalated to 84 firefighters responding to the brush fire. The fire burned approximately 5 - 6 acres when LAFD stopped all progress of the fire 37 minutes after the time of alarm. This fire was in the former burn footprint of the 2017 La Tuna Fire, which burned 7,194 acres. Structures are no longer threatened. Crews will remain on scene to extinguish hot spots within the burn perimeter, and to improve the line around the fire. No reported injuries. No structures damaged.
