Update #IndustrialFire - Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0659; 01:00PM; 1540 E Industrial St; https://bit.ly/3fKKRxz; Downtown; 130 LAFD Firefighters took just 71 minutes to fully extinguish active flame within a portion of a large two-story cold storage facility that was actively undergoing demolition when flames erupted within, briefly trapping a demolition worker, who was able to extricate himself from the building without injury. The cause of the fire is under active investigation. Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0227; 06:40AM; 417 N Ardmore Av; https://bit.ly/3ahL8qk; East Hollywood; 56 Firefighters took just 24 minutes to extinguish flames in one upstairs unit and the common attic of a 6,926 square-foot, nine-unit garden style apartment building. First arriving firefighters utilized a ground ladder to swiftly rescue an adult female trapped by flames at an upstairs window. She has been taken by ambulance to an area hospital in yet-to-be determined condition with unspecified injuries. During fire attack, LAFD crews found and rescued another occupant (yet undetermined age/gender/affiliation) who was discovered pulseless and non-breathing. LAFD Paramedics worked relentlessly at scene to successfully restore that person's pulse and breathing, and have taken the patient to an area hospital in critical condition. No other injuries were reported.
