Spectator slowing and the presence of fire apparatus blocking nearby lanes of both Century and La Cienega Boulevards, has led to considerable traffic in the area. Motorists headed to Los Angeles International Airport before 8:00 AM today should anticipate congestion in that area, and consider an alternate route to LAX. LAFD operations should be complete by 8:00 AM. Complete - Rescue; INC#1085; 03:58PM; 8367 W Beverly Bl; https://bit.ly/3ov1jsE; #BeverlyGrove; LAFD Firefighters, including an LAFD Urban Search and Rescue team specially trained, equipped and certified to manage confined space rescues, have utilized a high-point rope system with wrist straps to quickly and safely rescue the conscious and alert adult male, who was trapped feet-first, eleven feet from the rooftop, in an approximately 18" metal ventilation shaft at a vacant two story restaurant. He claimed he had been there for as much as 24 hours. The man, who has no visible injuries, was medically evaluated by LAFD Paramedic.
