The call was initially received as an automatic fire alarm with multiple activations and was upgraded upon arrival of first LAFD resource. Firefighters are in the offensive mode and made entry into the room. The fire was being held in check by sprinklers. Firefighters remained in the offensive mode as they made entry and extinguished the fire on the 1st floor before making their way up to the 2nd floor and attic. Officers are inspecting the attic of the exposed building to ensure no extension occurred. Crews will remain on scene conducting overhaul operations.
