Update Fatality - Structure Fire; INC#1212; 10:28AM; 1104 W Oak Grove Dr; https://bit.ly/2UdJCOR; Eagle Rock; At approximately 9:30AM, the body of a deceased, adult male victim was located within the structure which sustained significant damage in last nights fire (original incident 11.09.20 5:44PM). This remains an ongoing investigation by LAFD Arson Section and LAPD. The LA County Coroner/Medical Examiner's Office will determine cause of death and confirm identification. LAFD resources will remain on scene for an unspecified period to assist with the safe removal of remains. Knockdown #OakGroveFire Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1212; 07:33PM; 1104 W Oak Grove Dr; https://bit.ly/2IlHfH8; Eagle Rock; It took 105 LAFD firefighters 1 hour and 49 minutes of relentless defensive operations to extinguish fire that fully involved a 110 year-old two-story 1,648 square-foot ascending hillside home on their arrival, with flames involving a large amount of thick vegetation on the property only ( seen in this March 2019 Google Street View: https://bit.ly/2Ue5t93 ). The home largely collapsed during the intense firefight, but no firefighter injuries have been reported. All burning vegetation has been extinguished but defensive firefighting operations continue with the very heavily damaged home that has largely collapsed during the firefight. No injuries have been reported.
