Join Us In Person for Fire Service Day 2022
You are invited to your local LAFD Fire Station for an "Open Firehouse" on May 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Your LAFD is excited to welcome the public back to our fire stations in person!
The second Saturday of each May is designated “Fire Service Recognition Day” because we are Your Los Angeles Fire Department and we place great value on our community relationships. We hope you will come spend part of your day with us and learn about the services we offer, interact with firefighters, increase your fire safety knowledge and enjoy some FREE family fun.
During our Open Firehouse, we are honored to provide tours of Your Neighborhood Fire Station, fire safety and disaster preparedness education and free smoke alarms for your home (while supplies last). The LAFD will also bestow the title “Honorary Fire Chief” on highly deserving community members recognized for their unwavering support of the LAFD.
All Neighborhood Fire Stations will be open for tours and the following locations will have additional activities:
West Bureau: Fire Station 27 (Note: FS82 will have the first public viewing of the new electric fire engine.)
Central Bureau: Fire Stations 2, 13, 44
South Bureau: Fire Station 112
Valley Bureau: Fire Station 88
Fire Stations 99 and 102 will extend their open house through Sunday.
Note: Fire Stations 51, 80 and 114 are located on airport grounds and not open to the public for security reasons.
