Fearless Female Firefighters: LAFD Girls Camp!
It’s the ultimate challenge! A high-octane Firefighter Boot Camp, aimed at teaching young women how to break into a profession dominated by men.
Organized by the Los Angeles Fire Department, LAFD Girl's Camp is an inspirational journey for young women, giving them hands-on experience in pulling fire hoses, using chainsaws, climbing aerial ladders, searching for victims in dark enclosed spaces and so much more.
As you can see, the best-of-the-best female Fire Chiefs, Captains and Firefighter/Paramedics from across California teach these campers how to push themselves to the limit and achieve anything they want, whether it is a career in the fire service or other goals. This unique firefighter training camp is helping to shape the lives of young women, as they hear from elite firefighters who share what it takes to tackle any challenges - and win.
