This Fourth of July, celebrate safely with family, friends, and neighbors.  To help keep you and your loved ones safe, the Los Angeles Fire Department encourages everyone to attend a permitted fireworks show or drone display and leave fireworks to the professionals. 


All fireworks, including so-called "safe and sane" fireworks, are illegal for personal possession or use in the City of Los Angeles!

Fireworks can turn a celebration into a tragedy in seconds.  Every year, fireworks cause serious injuries, fires, and unnecessary risks to families, neighborhoods, pets, and first responders.

This early fireworks show includes an impressive car show, live music, and food trucks.   Limited, low-cost parking is available at Harbor Boulevard.  A shuttle service runs from Downtown San Pedro. Strollers are welcome.

 

5th Annual Independence Day Drone Light Show Festival

Celebrate America early at this drone show that is perfect for littles with sensitive ears who may not enjoy the fireworks shows later in the week. Parking at Hansen Dam is ample.  Bring chairs or blankets for the drone show.

 

Pacific Palisades 4th of July Celebration

Saturday, July 4, 2026
Kids under 6 enter the fireworks show for free.  Gates open at 8 pm for the fireworks show; the sky lights up at 9 pm.  Bring camping chairs and blankets.  VIP parking is available; locals are encouraged to walk due to limited parking.  Strollers welcome!

 

Marina Del Rey July 4th Fireworks

Saturday, July 4, 2026
Find a spot around Marina Del Rey to watch the fireworks over the water.  Public lots open for paid parking.  Sound systems for corresponding music set up at Burton Chace Park and around Marina Village.

 

Dodger Game with Independence Day Fireworks

Dodger Stadium is an excellent place to take kids, with playgrounds, plenty of treats, and the energy of the game to keep them entertained.  Strollers are welcome inside the stadium and can be checked at Guest Services.  Parking rates apply.

Woodland Hills - FREE
Saturday, July 4, 2026
This free show draws a major crowd every year.  Kids can enjoy pre-fireworks activities.  Make sure to purchase parking for easy access.  Arrive early to secure a spot, and bring your own chairs and blankets. The fireworks show begins at 9 pm.

The Los Angeles Police Department has a special process that allows you to surrender fireworks without penalty.  To receive special guidance, please call the LAPD non-emergency number 1-877-ASK-LAPD.  Do not transport fireworks anywhere and do not bring them to a Police Station until you have received this special guidance.
