The units on scene requested LAFD HazMat squad and they are preparing to make entry in an attempt to identify the product in question. The adult male patient was treated on scene and declined ambulance transport. There are no other patients. The HVAC units near the drum are shut down and there are no evacuations required. It took 57 minutes to stop all forward progress, limiting the burned area to two acres. Crews will remain on scene to ensure there are no hot spots or smoldering material remaining in the fire's footprint. No structures damaged. No reported injuries.
