Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1005; 06:58PM; 3060 E 4th St; https://bit.ly/3dzqUZG; Boyle Heights; Responding firefighters found a two-story single-family home with a converted attic above, smoke showing. Salvage efforts began immediately to protect belongings from additional damage from the firefighting effort. After quickly moving or covering belongings a coordinated fire attack with vertical ventilation extinguished the fire consuming a converted attic and burning down to the second story. The whole effort took 30 firefighters 14 minutes. There were no reported injuries. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1128; 08:09PM; 18330 W Oxnard St; https://bit.ly/35MhaIU; Tarzana; LAFD battled fire in a one-story commercial building. After performing forcible entry to gain access, firefighters deployed hose lines into the structure, as truck companies ascended ladders to the roof. It took 59 firefighters 32 minutes to extinguish the flames. One firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injury and is in fair condition. No other injuries reported.
