Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#1279; 06:51PM; 10344 W Olympic Bl; https://bit.ly/35kkjRV; Century City; 32 firefighters responded to a one-story commercial building (dry cleaning occupancy). Firefighters located the fire inside of a 10' x 10' shed attached to the structure, with no fire extension into the building. It took 15 minutes to find and extinguish the flames (7:06 PM). Firefighters coordinated vertical ventilation with interior fire attack to extinguish the flames in 32 minutes. No reported injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0823; 04:15PM; 15350 W Burbank Bl; https://bit.ly/2DzGaW3; Sherman Oaks; Over 100 firefighters battled through intensely hot weather to extinguish the fire that ultimately consumed 20 acres in the Sepulveda Basin. With the help of LA County hand crews, LAFD CERT volunteers, and a sky crane, firefighters declared 100% containment after 3 hours 17 minutes, protecting the Japanese gardens and water reclamation plant. Two firefighters and one civilian sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the fire. No structures were damaged. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0441; 09:29AM; 928 N Kingsley Dr; https://bit.ly/3jSUwEI; East Hollywood; Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire inside of a vacant single-family home that was the site of a previous burn. As companies were deploying hose to the rear of the structure to initiate a transitional attack (starting outside, moving in), the roof collapsed. The first 26 firefighters on scene surrounded the structure with hose lines and extinguished the flames in 18 minutes. There were no reported injuries.
