As ground crews continued to hike toward his remote location, an LAFD Rescue Helicopter was able to lower a Paramedic to attempt to medically evaluate the patient, who is initially declining all forms of medical aid. Firefighters located an approximately 30yo F with non-life threatening injuries stuck in a location (in the brush on a steep hillside with no footing) in which a hoist operation is the preferred approach. However, due to the minimal visibility cause by fog, an alternate plan is being developed. Firefighters are on the hillside with the patient.
