Firefighters prevented the blaze from progressing into a brush fire. One occupant of the home is being evaluated for any necessary treatment/transport. Update Brush Fire; INC#0901; 06:33PM; 5701 S Lincoln Bl; https://bit.ly/3998uiB; Playa del Rey; KNOCKDOWN: 54 firefighters battled through difficult access and heavy brush to extinguish the fire in two hours with no injuries reported. The fire was held to five acres, kept wholly within the brush area at Ballona Creek. There were no structures damaged. Los Angeles County Fire Department provided one water-dropping helicopter and two hand crews to assist with the operation.
