It took 84 LAFD personnel (assisted by jurisdictionally adjacent LACoFD crews in automatic aid) just 38 minutes to strategically access, defensively confine and offensively extinguish heavy fire within what is now described as *two-story* *150' x 100'* warehouse containing baled goods and commercial water delivery products. There have been no injuries. This Greater Alarm fire appears to have begun as an outside fire, which had already extended into and involved the structure on LAFD arrival. Bus Driver says 6 patrons were on bus, but departed the scene after self-evacuating the bus. Five patients total at this time (4 from vehicle and 1 bus operator). Two of the patients from passenger vehicle are in critical condition, the others, including 2 children from the vehicle, and the Bus Driver, have lesser injuries. All expected to be transported by LAFD ambulance to area hospitals. The spill has been contained on-site by LAFD responders, and clean-up will be coordinated through Caltrans. Closure of several lanes of NB 110 Freeway south of Harry Bridges Boulevard will continue until emergency operations and clean-up are complete, unknown duration. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the immediate area and consider an alternate route. Report of Smoke; INC#1496; 06:57PM; 4929 N Van Nuys Bl; https://bit.ly/3uabZAX; Sherman Oaks; A patient reportedly lit Emergency Room bedding on fire, which was extinguished prior to LAFD arrival. The burnt bed was moved outside, and smoke present *in the Emergency Room ONLY* on firefighter arrival, has been cleared with the use of LAFD ventilation fans. There was no LAFD rescue or medical support required for any patient or staff member. Thanks to quick early intervention by hospital staff, all Emergency Room patients were kept safe, and have been rehoused in that facility to continue on-site care. Pursuant to protocol, LAPD was requested and an LAFD Investigator has been assigned.
