#Knockdown - #SanFernandoFire - Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#0785; 01:16PM; 10219 N San Fernando Rd; https://bit.ly/3wr39hK; #Pacoima; It took 71 LAFD Firefighters just 63 minutes to access, confine and extinguish this Greater Alarm fire that began as a large outside rubbish fire, extending into an unoccupied one-story church that has been heavily damaged by fire. Firefighters safely evacuated an undetermined number of persons from, and prevent fire damage to, an adjacent two-story residential motel ( Villa Las Palmas? ). No Injury. No resident displacement is currently anticipated. Flames from the large outside rubbish fire extended into and now heavily involves the rear/attic area of the nearby one-story (unoccupied) church, and continue to threaten a now evacuated nearby two-story apartment building. Update #LopezCanyonFire Greater Alarm Brush Fire; INC#1313; 09:00PM; 12031 N Lopez Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/3DVayIr; #LakeViewTerrace; A detailed hiking survey of the fireline now shows that 8.29 acres of vegetation has burned, and the blaze is 90% contained with no visible flame. LAFD Paramedics assisted one adult male civilian who became suddenly ill near the fireline. He has been taken to an area hospital in undetermined condition. No other injuries have been reported. 50 LAFD Firefighters are currently assigned to the incident, which will remain in an active patrol status through the night. The blaze is now 60% contained. No injuries have been reported. Firefighters will remain at scene tonight to check for hotspots, extinguish smoldering debris and further contain the fire's perimeter. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
