Update #Sandfire Agency Assist; 04:34PM; Sand Fire; internal:/; LAFD now sending 6th Strike Team to assist at Sand Fire. Breakdown of the 6 Strike Teams from LAFD assigned to Sand Fire: ST1001: E60 E11 E26 E9 E94 BC701 ST1002: E61 E209 E21 E58 E33 BC711 ST1003: E98 E91 E18 E87 E70 BC712 ST1004: E89 E39 E12 E93 E5 BC14 ST 1880 E8136 E8137 E8138 E8139 BC717 (Type III Wildland Engines) ST 1075: E3C E3S E1B E1C E6S BC710 (XLA strike team with engines from Culver City FD, Beverly Hills FD and Santa Monica FD). For a total of 29 fire engines and 6 battalion commands = 128 firefighters. While providing the necessary support to combat the dangerous Sand Fire, the LAFD remains fully capable and prepared for all responses within the City of Los Angeles.; Margaret Stewart

Update Structure Fire #CeresIC 07/23/2016

Update #CeresIC Structure Fire; 08:42PM; 748 S Ceres Av; internal:/; #DTLA Official Knockdown not declared but transitioning to release some resources. Outside pallet fire was fully involved and affected 6 buildings. 1 is total loss and will continue to burn through the evening due to contents (bailed textiles) and instability of structure - unsafe to enter. Firefighters battled for nearly two hours to save 5 buildings. No injuries reported. LAFD will remain on scene through the evening. Update FINAL Structure Fire; 05:58PM; 323 S La Fayette Park Pl; internal:/; Westlake / MacArthur Park; Final Update: 70F transported in Critical condition. Cause = accidental, 1 unit heavily damaged on 3rd floor, unit directly below on 2nd floor with significant water damage, hallway on 3rd floor with heavy smoke damage. Update Agency Assist; 04:24PM; #SandFire; internal:/; LAFD sending two additional strike teams (5 Engines + Battalion Commander) for a total of 5 strike teams (one team includes Engines from Culver City FD, Beverly Hills FD and Santa Monica FD) assisting LACoFD and Angeles NF with #SandFire. LAFD closely monitoring status of fire and has contingency evacuation plans prepared if needed. LAFD will take a more involved role if fire threatens City of Los Angeles.
