The garage fires extinguished, crews nearing knockdown on the vacant structure. No injuries reported. This incident reached a Greater Alarm status but some additional resources released before being assigned and currently 75 FF on scene. Update Structure Fire; 02:20PM; 1018 S Santee St; internal:/; #DTLA KNOCKDOWN 90 FF in 34 minutes. Building type updated to a 2 story, poured in place concrete commercial building. A fully involved attic fire extended to the 2nd floor. The fire on the 2nd floor was quickly extinguished while crews fought the attic blaze. The fire was contained to this structure and prevented from extending to the 1st floor. No injuries reported. LAFD Arson enroute for the investigation.
