KNOCKDOWN - Tunnel Fire 07/10/2018

KNOCKDOWN - Tunnel Fire; 10:37AM; 1555 N San Fernando Rd; internal:/; #GlasselllPark; 84 firefighters, including specially trained and certified LAFD Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams, were able to simultaneously extinguish burning debris/rubbish within the storm drain tunnel system (fire duration = 73 minutes), as well as conduct a preliminary search of the subterranean flood control system; There have been NO persons discovered in peril; Though the site was near a bus storage / rail yard (@MetroLosAngeles and @Metrolink Central Maintenance Facility) there was no known impact on those agencies or their operations; The fire cause remains under investigation; Dispatched LAFD Units: E44 E250 T50 E1 RA1 RA56 HR3 EM1 BC2 T3 E203 UR3 RA3 RA803 E88 UR88 BC1 E201 CM22 E3 CM21 E17 FT17 CL1 E447 E212 T12 BC11 E36 FT36 RT59 E59; - Brian Humphrey
