Update Technical Rescue - Tree Trimmer; INC#0757; 12:10PM; 11958 W Hart St; https://bit.ly/3YU5jWK; North Hollywood; Firefighters conducted a carefully coordinated operation, using a combination of aerial ladder and rope system to quickly get a firefighter to the patient, secure him and safely lower him and the rescuer to the ground. The patient is a 26yo male with no injuries, declining LAFD transport. No human injury. One pet canine in the involved apartment sadly succumbed to the fire. Update Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0144; 04:45AM; 11015 W Sarah St; https://bit.ly/4dUMS8V; #NorthHollywood; *Updated Patient Information*: Alerted by a functional smoke alarm and escaping the burning home prior to LAFD arrival were an 80M and 35M, who both declined ambulance transportation and remain at the scene. Rescued by LAFD responders and taken to the hospital by ambulance were a 50F in grave condition and an 83M in serious condition. Among the *multiple* pets in the home at the time of the fire, were a dog successfully rescued and resuscitated by LAFD responders, as well as at least three cats that sadly perished. LAFD Public Information Officer Captain Cody Weireter is at the fire scene to assist the media. Structure Fire - Now Out 08/21/2024 INC#0144

Structure Fire - Now Out ; INC#0144; 02:33AM; 11015 W Sarah St; https://bit.ly/4dUMS8V; #NorthHollywood; 57 LAFD Firefighters took just 27 minutes (3:00 AM) to access, confine and fully extinguish heavy fire discovered in the rear of a 3,300 square foot two-story home (built 1930). Two occupants (80M and 35M) alerted by a functional smoke alarm, were able to self evacuate the home prior to firefighters arrival, informing first-arriving LAFD personnel that two persons remained trapped in the burning residence. During an aggressive and well-coordinated attack on the flames, firefighters discovered and rescued a 60F in serious condition and a 40F in grave condition, as well as one unresponsive dog and three unresponsive cats. LAFD Paramedics have transported three patients (35M, 60F, 40F) to area hospitals. The 80M is presently declining offered ambulance transportation. No other injuries were reported. Though the three pet felines sadly proved beyond medical help and were determined dead at the scene, firefighters were able to resuscitate and are providing supportive care to the rescued canine, pending the arrival of the City's Department of Animal Services. American Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers have been summoned to provide for the immediate needs of the 80M. LAFD Public Information Officer Captain Cody Weireter is responding to the fire scene to assist the media, his ETA is 4:15 AM.
