Firefighters were able to limit fire damage to an occupied one-story home to the north, that despite intense flames, suffered only superficial fire damage. No injury. Additional crews were assigned, and the first arriving 20 LAFD personnel had the flames fully extinguished at 2:50 AM. In searching the premises, LAFD responders discovered two persons, one male and one female (age and affiliation yet to be determined), as well as a pet cat, had perished in the flames.
