Firefighters made a quick stop on the fire that spread to the vegetation behind the house, before it got out of hand. There were no reported injuries. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0441; 09:29AM; 928 N Kingsley Dr; https://bit.ly/3jSUwEI; East Hollywood; Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire inside of a vacant single-family home that was the site of a previous burn. As companies were deploying hose to the rear of the structure to initiate a transitional attack (starting outside, moving in), the roof collapsed. The first 26 firefighters on scene surrounded the structure with hose lines and extinguished the flames in 18 minutes. There were no reported injuries. Update Structure Fire; INC#0708; 02:27PM; 1 E Northstar St; https://bit.ly/3lNgFWR; Venice; KNOCKDOWN: 34 firefighters extinguished the fire in 63 minutes with no injuries reported. Firefighters made access to the structure and ascended floor by floor to locate the fire in one unit on the 2nd floor. The fire extended into a wall and required a thorough investigation to determine the extent of the burn and whether it made it's way up to the 3rd floor unit. Firefighters opened walls and ensured all smoldering spots were extinguished.
