After making entry, they determined there was no fire but a fumigation operation was underway. He escaped with severe burns prior to the Fire Department's arrival, and has been taken to an area hospital in serious condition. No other injuries reported. It has yet to be determined whether the outside fire was a result of or preceded the interior fire, which led to significant damage. Residents state they will seek their own temporary accommodations.
