Knockdown - #RoscoeFire Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#1741; 11:47PM; 15500 W Roscoe Bl; https://bit.ly/3mvAEZ3; Van Nuys; This fire escalated to 'Major Emergency' status, with 115 LAFD personnel assigned, who have extinguished heavy flames in an attached (former?) automotive dealership/parts/storage facility in just 40 minutes. No injury. There are a handful of automotive dealerships in the area, and we are seeking to confirm the current status and ownership/affiliation of the structure. One or more lanes of Roscoe Boulevard will remain closed between the San Diego (I-405) Freeway and Sepulveda Boulevard until LAFD operations are complete early Saturday morning. Motorists should anticipate congestion and avoid the area. The cause of the fire is under active investigation.
