Firefighters and Air Ops performed a hoist operation to remove the patient and transported him in critical condition by air ambulance to the nearest trauma center. Update Hiker Rescue 04/28/2020 INC#1014

Update Hiker Rescue; INC#1014; 05:45PM; Simi Hills; https://bit.ly/2yViddq; Chatsworth; LAFD ground crews scrambled down a narrow ~ 200-foot drainage channel in the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park to access and rescue a 16 year-old male hiker who was stranded on a hillside after sustaining an ankle injury. LAFD ground crews, including Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) specialists used a rope system to bring him to safety. Firefighters put dams in place to try to direct the water, however, the flow is too high for them to control. LAFD remains on scene awaiting LADWP arrival. Update Knockdown Brush Fire; INC#0634; 11:23AM; 11062 N Winnetka Av; http://bit.ly/2uyEOur; Chatsworth; Despite wind, an LAFD ground and air response of 55 personnel took just 27 minutes to fully extinguish less that one-quarter acre of freeway adjacent vegetation that was burning at the southeast corner of the intersection of Porter Ranch Dr and Ronald Reagan (SR118) Freeway. There have been no injuries and no structures threatened. The eastbound onramp only to the 118 Freeway at Porter Ranch Drive will remain closed until LAFD operations are complete.
