Update Rescue; INC#1254; 07:08PM; 22820 W Santa Susana Pass Rd; https://bit.ly/34ODrGH; Chatsworth; As an LAFD helicopter orbited the location, illuminating the scene with a 30 million candlepower spotlight, LAFD and VCFD ground responders descended a two-line rope system nearly 70' down a steep hillside to access the two young-adult males, who were both trapped within the overturned vehicle. LAFD + VCFD crews worked together with power tools to free the men, who despite the brief entrapment, sustained only minimal injury thanks to seat belt use. Both men slowly ascended the hillside with Firefighter guidance by grasping the rope. Upon roadside evaluation by LAFD Paramedics, one of the men declined further treatment or transportation, while the other has been taken by LAFD ambulance in fair condition to an area hospital for further assessment. There were no other injuries.
