While six garages were involved, the crews prevented the fire from extending into the exposed structure. The cause and $ loss TBD. One patient is being evaluated for possible minor burn injury. Physical Rescue 06/26/2021 INC#1579

Physical Rescue; INC#1579; 10:15PM; 118 N San Pascual Av; https://bit.ly/3qszgdn; Highland Park; One vehicle collided with a two-story apartment building (over parking sublevel), trapping three in the vehicle and injuring one inside the apartment building. Firefighters extricated three from the vehicle, transporting them in critical condition. One patient from the apartment building was transported in fair condition (total of 4 transported to local trauma center). LAFD Heavy Rescue is hoisting the vehicle and USAR team is providing stabilization for minor structural damage. LA Dept of Building and Safety has yellow-tagged the building. CHP Log 4441. No injuries. Now Out Structure Fire; INC#0853; 01:35PM; 5916 N Monterey Rd; https://bit.ly/3xCdztO; Montecito Heights; The first twenty-six LAFD firefighters arrived to find fire showing from the rear of a one-story L-shaped commercial structure (strip mall). Firefighters isolated the flames to the unit of origin, and extinguished the burning contents in 14 minutes (1:49pm). No reported injuries.
