The fire appears to have primarily been an outside fire (numerous refrigerators et al in front of the small appliance business) which extended inside. Firefighters prevented the fire from extending into the attached medical clinic. The primary and secondary searches were clear. No injuries reported. Cause and $ loss TBD. Firefighters have set up the rescue air cushion on the freeway below. #LATraffic: Closure of all lanes in both directions until LAFD operations are complete (unknown duration). The fire extended into the attic but was contained to the unit of origin. All occupants were out of the unit prior to LAFD arrival and one adult female was evaluated but she declined transport.
