Structure Fire 04/05/2022 INC#0512

Structure Fire; INC#0512; 10:22AM; 1226 S Lorena St; https://bit.ly/3ubqGDp; Boyle Heights; KNOCKDOWN: 36 firefighters (before the arrival of the additionally requested resources) extinguished the fire in 17 minutes. The fire appears to have primarily been an outside fire (numerous refrigerators et al in front of the small appliance business) which extended inside. Firefighters prevented the fire from extending into the attached medical clinic. The primary and secondary searches were clear. No injuries reported. Cause and $ loss TBD. Firefighters have set up the rescue air cushion on the freeway below. #LATraffic: Closure of all lanes in both directions until LAFD operations are complete (unknown duration). KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1173; 04:28PM; 320 S Coronado St; https://bit.ly/3Nx6gw9; Westlake; KNOCKDOWN: 45 firefighters extinguished the fire in 28 minutes with no injuries reported. The fire extended into the attic but was contained to the unit of origin. All occupants were out of the unit prior to LAFD arrival and one adult female was evaluated but she declined transport. The Incident Commander requested LAFD Arson for the investigation.
