Public Invited to Remember 9/11 in Los Angeles
In many ways, it is hard to believe that fourteen years have passed since our nation was attacked on September 11, 2001. While time moves forward, it in no way lessens the resolve of firefighters who loudly pledge: We Shall Never Forget!
The men and women of the Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcome you to stand with them in fulfilling this pledge, as they gather for Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance events on Friday, September 11, 2015 at three separate locations.
All are welcome to these solemn yet uplifting public ceremonies:
- Operation West Bureau
- LAFD Historical Society Museum & Fallen Firefighters Memorial
- 1355 North Cahuenga Boulevard, Hollywood CA 90028
- 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM
- Operation Central Bureau (LAFD's "official" event)
- LAFD 9/11 Memorial Event
- FHMTC
- 1700 North Stadium Way, Los Angeles, 90012.
- 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Operation Valley Bureau
- 9/11/15 Fourteen Years Later
- Fire Station 88
- 5101 North Sepulveda Boulevard, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
- 7:00 PM
We hope you can join us for one or more of these events. If that is not possible, we kindly ask you to take time for quiet personal reflection in remembrance of all who were killed in New York, Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia on September 11, 2001.
