Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1109; 04:21PM; 1450 N Elysian Park Rd; http://bit.ly/2Nn9TIj; Elysian Park; CORRECTED ADDRESS. 81 firefighters worked quickly to deploy progressive hose lays up both flanks to contain the 1-acre fire in less than 30 minutes. Firefighters will remain on scene to chase down any remaining hot spots within the burn area. No reported injuries. Unknown cause. The fire has been extinguished without exposing the trailer contents to flames, however MOTORISTS: 6 lanes were closed temporarily. Only one lane (HOV) is open. Unknown duration of closure. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0648; 12:15PM; 745 N Toyopa Dr; http://bit.ly/2zgzOcB; Pacific Palisades; The first 16 firefighters to arrive extinguished fire in a fully-involved laundry room inside of a two-story home in just 13 minutes, before it was able to spread anywhere else in the fire. Firefighters used a small ladder designed for interior use (commonly referred to as a "baby" ladder, which is narrow enough to fit into the scuttle hole) to verify that the fire had not gotten into the attic. Update Traffic Collision 08/20/2019 INC#1065

Update Traffic Collision; INC#1065; 07:05PM; 12850 W Branford St; http://bit.ly/31Pmh82; Pacoima; There are updated medical conditions for the 2 injured women taken to the hospital: The sedan occupant is in fair condition, while the apartment dweller is in serious condition. The dump truck will likely be removed from the structure within the hour, under the watchful eye of more than 50 LAFD Firefighters who have been assigned to the incident. The LA Dept of Building & Safety has red-tagged three units of the 28 unit apartment building as untenable, and will further evaluate the structure when the truck is removed. Because of the physical damage and need to secure all utilities at the building, the (unknown total number of) occupants of all 28 units will be temporarily displaced. The LAFD is shuttling residents to a temporary shelter at Montague Charter Academy (13000 Montague Street, Arleta, CA 91331), for personal comfort and needs assessment. Update Traffic Collision; INC#1065; 05:36PM; 12850 W Branford St; http://bit.ly/31Pmh82; Pacoima; The two injured women: one from the silver compact sedan, and the other reportedly from within the badly damaged first floor apartment, have both been taken to the hospital in good condition. The LA Dept of Building & Safety will be on scene shortly, and LAFD PIO Captain Cody Weireter is en route with ETA 6:15 PM. LAFD will soon be overseeing the removal of the dump truck from the premises. The women's location at time of collision has yet to be determined. The man is declining care, while the women will likely be taken to an area hospital. One male resident of the involved apartment that was initially described as missing, was determined to be safe at work. Firefighters are meticulously searching the building to make certain there are no hazards or others injured. Water and natural gas utilities have been secured.
