Crown Fire has been burning on private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined. Situation Static Hazardous Materials 04/03/2026 INC#0474

Update Situation Static Hazardous Materials; INC#0474; 09:11AM; 920 W Harry Bridges Bl; https://bit.ly/41MWiis; Wilmington; The 40 foot shipping container on a trailer located within a shipping yard has been isolated by LAFD HazMat units. A 500 foot isolation zone has been established, as well as a 1000 foot safety perimeter. The substance in question is believed to be Sodium Hydroxide per the placard on the container. This product poses no health hazard other than a topical irritation when touched. There is no airborne threat associated with this product. LAPD HazMat units are en route to the scene to assist in opening the container to confirm the type of product, assess additional risks or hazards and begin off-loading of the contents. LAFD is in Unified Command with LA Port PD. All railway operations are continuing in the area. Brush Fire - Forward Progress Stopped 03/30/2026 INC#0761

Fire companies are now in the "mop up" phase and will remain on scene to cool all hotspots and establish a full perimeter of bare earth around the burned area. Total area estimated at less than one acre, with no structures affected and no injuries reported. Assisting agencies included LACoFD, LA Park Rangers, Caltrans, and CHP.
