At 0820 AM James M Wood IC declared an official knockdown of the fire. E13 arrived on scene to find a 2 story garden style apartment with heavy smoke showing from the attic. LAFD units are in offensive mode. An emergency traffic alert via the radio was issued due to a compromised roof and partial roof collapse. No injuries were reported, Red Cross notified for 8 displaced individuals, LADOT notified, LABS notified, LADWP notified and the Southern California Gas Company notified.
