After hearing witness statements, suspect statements, and investigating physical evidence on scene, the LAFD Arson/Counter Terrorism Section has developed probable cause and the suspect is being booked for 451(c) - Arson of Forest Land. The case will be presented to the DA for felony filing considerations. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0846; 02:00PM; 2301 N Highland Av; http://bit.ly/2MMPOMm; Hollywood Hills; 64 FF in less than 30 min contained the Hollywood brush fire. LAFD held the fire to less than 1/2-acre of light-medium brush. Firefighters overcame water supply challenges, as they found some hydrants that were dry. LAFD Crew 3, an all volunteer wildland cadet post managed by LAFD firefighters, responded to assist with the overhaul of the brush-covered hill. No reported injuries. She has been safely hoisted into an LAFD helicopter and is being provided in-flight medical care during direct transport to a nearby trauma center.
