KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0157; 04:14AM; 17830 W Sherman Wy; https://bit.ly/3uGK4qO; Reseda; Ninety-six firefighters battled flames in a three-story center-hallway apartment building, while assisting residents with evacuation and/or sheltering in place. It took 58 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the fire. Firefighter-paramedics transported one patient to the hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0178; 04:07AM; 6900 S Knowlton Pl; https://bit.ly/3wVn7CR; Westchester; The fire appeared to have originated with a dryer in a second-floor laundry room of the two-story apartment building. 26 firefighters worked to contain the flames to the room-of-origin, extinguishing the fire in 19 minutes. Occupants sheltered in place to avoid any smoke hazard. No reported injuries. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1173; 04:28PM; 320 S Coronado St; https://bit.ly/3Nx6gw9; Westlake; KNOCKDOWN: 45 firefighters extinguished the fire in 28 minutes with no injuries reported. The fire extended into the attic but was contained to the unit of origin. All occupants were out of the unit prior to LAFD arrival and one adult female was evaluated but she declined transport. The Incident Commander requested LAFD Arson for the investigation.
