The flames spread to a nearby detached structure (appeared to be an ADU). Firefighters defended other nearby structures while extinguishing the two small detached units, which took 28 firefighters 17 minutes. No reported injuries. Update CONTAINED - #HansenFire Major Emergency Brush Fire; INC#1459; 11:12PM; 10400 N Glenoaks Bl; https://bit.ly/3q1x65g; Hansen Dam; Despite light-to-moderate winds, a well coordinated air attack combined with a relentless ground-based offense with firefighting handlines and hand tools by 124 LAFD personnel, assisted by two LACoFD Hand Crews, has fully contained the Hansen Fire fire to a total of 4 acres of brush, in just 1 hour and 39 minutes. There are no injuries, no structures damaged. Firefighters will continue to work the fire's perimeter with hoselines, hand tools and heavy equipment through the night to extinguish any hot spots. The flames, still driven by 10 MPH wind, have consumed brush on two fronts, including 3 acres to the north side, and one-quarter (0.25) acre to the south near *but not involving* the golf course.
