The garage, converted to a living space, was unoccupied at the time. No reported injuries. Cause under investigation. CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0966; 03:34PM; 15278 W Lakeside St; https://bit.ly/39V8pme; #Sylmar; Forward progress of the fire has been stopped at approximately 25 acres - combination of grass and brush. Firefighters assigned to structure protection defended homes on several sides of the fire, while air and ground crews made direct attacks on the flames to snuff out this fire in one hour and 40 minutes. No structures damaged. No reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Occupants of the structure have been safely evacuated. It is unknown if the structure has been compromised. Firefighter-paramedics transported one elderly female to a local hospital in fair condition. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1108; 04:47PM; 7801 N Vicky Av; https://bit.ly/3Ofh2He; #WestHills; Firefighters arrived to find an auto and attached garage engulfed in flames, spreading to the home by way of the attic. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines inside the home to prevent further damage. It took 32 firefighters 22 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
