One adult male patient was transported with multiple bee stings (condition unknown). One adult male (believed to be LAPD volunteer officer or community patrol volunteer) was transported after sustaining an injury while moving away from the bee swarm. Firefighters are informing residents in the area to remain indoors and close all windows/doors. A professional bee removal vendor is required to address the bee swarm. Firefighters conducted salvage operations inside while fire attack pulled ceiling and attacked the fire from ladders up into the attic space in addition to the truck company assisting from the roof. The building type is updated to a two story three-plex (craftsman style). Cause and $ loss TBD (possibly connected to a roofing operation). KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1128; 05:13PM; 2401 E Sepulveda Bl; https://bit.ly/3I7tM1I; #Wilmington; It took 34 LAFD firefighters, with automatic aid from LA Co FD, 53 minutes to extinguish heavy fire in a one-story commercial building (not the site of a previous burn, but immediately adjacent to a previous burn). Firefighters set up heavy streams, including ladder pipes, to drown this fire from the exterior of the building, which sustained extensive damage. No reported injuries.
