Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1391; 08:31PM; 16508 W Tuba St; https://bit.ly/3fg2wi9; North Hills; Firefighters entered the smoke-filled home with hose lines to quickly locate and extinguish a contents-only fire in one bedroom, keeping it confined to the room of origin. It took the first 26 firefighters just 10 minutes to extinguish the flames, without the need to cut a ventilation hole in the roof. All occupants had safely exited the home. No reported injuries. Complete - Rescue; INC#0455; 09:53AM; 10725 W Vanowen St; https://bit.ly/3y5HICE; North Hollywood; The first arriving 20 LAFD firefighters took less than 15 minutes to safely and skillfully rescue the adult male worker, trapped between a forklift and what witnesses described as nearly 6,000 lbs. of marble, at an indoor storage and industrial sales facility. He has been taken to an area hospital in fair condition. At the conclusion of the rescue, another adult male worker came forth, complaining of elbow pain sustained in his effort to assist his co-worker prior to LAFD arrival. The residence was protected from harm, but 1 adult male civilian, who lived in the RV, was evaluated by LAFD Paramedics, who found him to have sustained only a minor thermal burn on his hand. The man has declined further medical treatment. Multi-Patient Injury; INC#0804; 01:17PM; 900 W 7th St; https://bit.ly/33xRsHO; Downtown; PRELIM: Loud sound (firework?) earlier heard by patrons/employees at or near the Metro Center subway station, several minutes prior to their calling 9-1-1. Unclear if sound was heard on a subway train or at subterranean station. No fire. No smoke. No physical evidence of any 'explosion' damage on LAFD arrival. Three civilian adults (unknown affiliation) are currently being evaluated for minor unspecified injury, including auditory discomfort. They are currently indicating a desire to be released at scene.
