Though first arriving LAFD ground units were able to limit forward progress of flames at about 200 square-feet of vegetation and extinguish the two burning vehicles, they are still working with VCFD Engine 43 and three LAFD helicopters to extinguish a stubborn spot fire that erupted down canyon amid volatile brush. No structures are currently threatened. LAFD Paramedics have transported one of the two patients injured in the traffic collision to an area hospital, while the other patient is declining treatment or ambulance transportation.
