Agency Assist; INC#1711; 09:34PM; 2830 E Lancaster Av; #BoyleHeights; LAFD assisting law enforcement at an apparent single-patient behavioral emergency. One person is perched precariously on a pedestrian bridge over the 10 Freeway. Firefighters have deployed the rescue air cushion below. The patient's intent is unclear. No escalating or off-site hazard known. #LATraffic: The 10 Freeway has been closed to all traffic from (at least) Marengo/Soto St to Eastern Ave/Campus Rd until LAFD operations are complete, unknown duration. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the area and consider an alternate route. KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire 01/26/2024 INC#1250

KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1250; 05:11PM; 115 S Catalina St; #Koreatown; Firefighters responded to a two-story *four-plex* with heavy fire showing from the second floor. Firefighters deployed hose lines inside the building, while crews ascended ladders to the roof to cut holes and release smoke and heat from the structure. Firefighters contained the fire to just one unit of the four-plex, and protected the nearby buildings that were initially threatened. It took the first 50 firefighters 21 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. Earthquake Mode; 07:43PM; Related to earthquake in City of San Bernardino; https://maps.app.goo.gl/SBktUbY22awMH5ai7; ~50 Miles East of Downtown Los Angeles; As the result of a preliminary magnitude 4.2 earthquake at 7:43 PM PST centered near San Bernardino, California, the LAFD is in Earthquake Mode. Per protocol, crews at all 106 LAFD neighborhood fire stations are conducting a strategic survey of their districts, examining all major areas of concern (transportation infrastructure, utilities, large places of public assemblage, etc). Once this process is complete and reports are consolidated, assuming there is no significant damage, LAFD Earthquake Mode will be complete. This process typically takes less than one hour. There are currently no initial reports of structural damage or injuries. Civilian Fatality Structure Fire 01/24/2024 INC#0143

Civilian Fatality Structure Fire; INC#0143; 03:02AM; 10803 N Noble Av; https://bit.ly/3Hsn1XE; #MissionHills; 32 LAFD Firefighters took just 22 minutes (3:24 AM) to access, confine and extinguish heavy fire within an 1,856 square foot one-story home, that had been converted to a residential duplex (Primary and ADU under one roof). In extinguishing the intense flames, firefighters discovered the remains of one adult male. The three other occupants of the building were able to escape unharmed. No other injuries reported. Fire cause under active investigation. The 72 year-old structure was not equipped with smoke alarms as required by law. No other persons are ill or injured.
