Update Structure Fire KNOCKDOWN 04/16/2021 INC#1122

Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1122; 05:47PM; 1168 E 55th St; https://bit.ly/3g4St1G; Central-Alameda; The fire appeared to have started with a shed behind the residence and spread into the home (including attic). Firefighters deployed roof ladders to safely cut on the steep-pitched roof, while crews below simultaneous entered with hose lines to extinguish the flames inside (36 firefighters in 22 minutes). All occupants were out of the home at the time of the fire. Firefighters skillfully prevented the fire from spreading to two other adjacent homes. No reported injuries. Update Traffic Collision; INC#1392; 08:55PM; 7600 N Fallbrook Av; https://bit.ly/2ORUOSi; West Hills; *Update* A single vehicle collided with a traffic signal and utility pole, shearing both, and causing the intersection to be closed in all directions due to the electrical hazard. This collision appears to be secondary to an original 3-vehicle collision a short distance away. Only one patient resulted, and was transported in critical condition to a local trauma center. A power pole was sheared and the intersection has been evacuated of pedestrians and vehicle occupants, and streets closed, due to the electrical hazard. DWP is responding to address the electrical hazard. Update Structure Fire Knockdown 04/13/2021 INC#0951

Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0951; 03:46PM; 127 S Park View St; https://bit.ly/2PTQkv8; Westlake; The first arriving 30 LAFD Firefighters took just 9 minutes to discover, confine and fully extinguish fire involving furnishings within one "second floor" (?) unit in what is now described as a 7,714 square-foot, *three* story, 14 unit garden-style apartment building (built 1965) of two occupied floors over 1 level of parking. Simultaneous to the fire extinguishment, firefighters found and rescued an extremely combative adult male with minor to moderate burns from within the burning apartment. His relationship with that apartment unit has yet to be determined. He will be transported to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics for further evaluation and care of what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. No other injury reported.
